Aims & Priorities

 

 

The Port City Futures board is focused on promoting Southampton as an international ‘Port City’ in furthering the prosperity of the city region and promoting Southampton’s maritime and logistics industries, their supply chains, users and employees. Projects that the group are currently working on include:

 

• Championing port related business
• Raising awareness of the importance of the port within schools & colleges
• Project planning for a Port-Visitor attraction in Southampton and plans for the Waterfront
• Support for Port development and expansion plans
• Comprehensive Economic Impact Assessment for the port of Southampton and related supply chain mapping
